Twenty Days…

Right, then…

It’s been twenty (20) days since I last posted.  Frankly, this is bullshit as there have been things to write about, but I’ve been lazy.

First off, I haven’t replaced the lights on the mountain bike, so that’s still a daylight ride.  That said, I haven’t been out on it much, so no harm, no foul.  I’m still pissed at the thieving sonsabitches, tho.

Secondly, the weather has gone back to normal, so gone are the “if it’s raining, it must be Monday” days, which I’m ecstatic about.  With that, I’ve been working to be out more often.  If nothing else, I’m riding in to work when I can.  Mind you, the month of June is rife with travel for me, so biking mileage is still down.

That said, thirdly, I finally rode the Tour de Cure.  Overall, I found it to be a fairly easy ride.  The hardest part was in the middle when we veered off of Canada Rd on to a bike trail that was fairly steep – this required low gears and heavy breathing.  The rest of it, however, was a good ride.  I did experience a touch of heat exhaustion right at the end when I stopped riding.  Fortunately, some water and shade cleared that up within 15 minutes and I was then well enough to eat my free taco, which was nice.  The important thing, tho is that I raised $625 for Diabetes research.

Now, on to other pursuits.
